چکیده
Biatractylolide is an Atractylodes macrocephala derived bisesquiterpenoid that has been found treatment of dementia in model mice. This study aims to explore the therapeutic effect on vascular dementia. Network pharmacological techniques have used elaborate involved mechanisms biatractylolide treating Based PubChem database, Swiss target prediction and human gene database GeneCards, 19 common molecules were screened, they enriched many biological, such as Alzheimer’s disease corrective pathway, pathways neurodegeneration-multiple diseases, calcium signaling notch pathway endothelial growth factor pathway. Muscarinic acetylcholine receptor M1, amyloid-beta precursor protein, microtubule-associated protein tau, presenilin-1, presenilin-2, prostaglandin G/H synthase 2 disintegrin, metalloproteinase domain-containing 17 Protein–protein interaction network presents six highest degree nodes, phosphoinositide-3-kinase regulatory subunit 1, phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic alpha, Harvey rat sarcoma virus, Jun N-terminal kinases, catenin beta mitogen-activated kinase 3 tumor P53, play core role four molecules, 14, Janus 2, tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type closely interact with biatractylolide. In addition, acetylcholinesterase was identified a strong suggests potential drug for or disease.

Vascular dementia: Pharmacological treatment approaches and perspectives
Vascular dementia is a common condition for which there are no effective approved pharmacological treatments available. Absence of effective treatments creates a difficult situation for those suffering from the disease, their caregivers, and healthcare providers. This review will address our current understanding of the mechanisms of nerve cell damage due to ischemia and summarize available cli...

Vascular dementia accounts for approximately 20% of all cases of dementia and for about 50% in subjects over 80 years. Thromboembolism with multiple cerebral infarcts was considered to be almost the only pathogenetic pathway of vascular dementia, with multi-infarct dementia as its clinical manifestation. However, there is a great heterogeneity of vascular dementia syndromes and pathological sub...
متن کاملPharmacological treatment of dementia: a scoping review of systematic reviews.
BACKGROUND Until now, multiple reviews on the pharmacological treatment of dementia have been published. METHODS We performed a scoping review to summarize research findings and to identify gaps in the existing literature. We searched the literature and assessed the risk of bias of the included reviews. A team of clinical experts assessed the fields in which more research is necessary. Fifty-...

CRD summary The authors concluded that pharmacotherapy can improve cognitive symptoms and outcomes, there is some evidence for delay in disease progression, and some agents were shown to be effective in patients with vascular dementia. However, few head-to-head studies were found and there were insufficient data relating to efficacy in different subgroups of patients. Despite some minor limitat...
متن کاملConverging pathogenic mechanisms in vascular and neurodegenerative dementia.
Dementia is a common neurological syndrome with a major impact on the health and quality of life of the elderly. Although the causes of dementia are numerous, Alzheimer dementia (AD) and vascular dementia (VaD) are responsible for most cases.1 Recent basic and clinical investigations have provided evidence that AD and VaD, traditionally considered distinct clinical and pathophysiological entiti...
